GPS devices stolen - thieves easily located January 26, 2007
Posted by Rich in : GPS fleet tracking, GPS vehicle tracking , trackbackA year ago, the town of Babylon, New York, acquired 300 GPS tracking devices, and placed many of them in the town’s fleet of maintenance vehicles. Recently, 14 of the devices were stolen from the Department of Public Works maintenance yard. The thieves apparently thought they were simply cell phones.
The town fired up their GPS tracking system and, lo and behold, it led them right to one of the thieves. Case solved.
