I think you’re missing a category, and it is one of my favourites. GPS Tracking Yourself, a.k.a. datalogging. In April I am going to start a trek from Mexico to Canada and using a solar powered GPS data logger from ohararp.com. I spent a while looking for a suitable device and think this is a good choice, but a site like yours could probably focus such interest and bring other devices to light.
Thanks Craig. I’ve covered data loggers a bit on my other site GPS Tracklog, though to be honest I haven’t given a whole lot of space to it. It does show up occasionally in my weekly Waypoints column. I give more space on that site to personal GPS devices and have written extensively about software and tracks. I never thought about including data loggers for that purpose here but it would be a good topic.
